Adventure!

Well, I finally did it. I ventured out with two kids by myself today! This is the first time because I have not been feeling well since the baby was born. I have been on drug after drug, even a yucky IV for a week. I am still feeling like crap but, I am going crazy staying at home. Tylee was ready to get out!!!!!

So....I got in the car and instantly Porter started to scream, he hates the car. I decided to keep going. I pulled over twice to try and calm him down. Jared called and I said what was I thinking, it so much easier to sit at home. I pulled over one more time and then just decided to let him scream. We went and got Tylee's hair cut! She had a great time. She got to sit in a car and watch Dora while Brie cut her hair! When she was all done she got a balloon and sucker. They even had a slide to play on while she waited. We walked around a bit and went to lunch! It was actually great to get out!! Tylee said, that was fun mom!! Her and I used to go somewhere evryday before we had Porter so she gets bored when we stay home all day everyday! Having 2 kids is great but challenging at times.

2 is Company, 3 is a Crowd, 4 is a Mess

What an adjustment the past two weeks have been, if you can call it that! Just to give you an update on our little family, we will start with our newest groupie!

Porter is the love of our lives. He is Tylee's best friend. He is my little buddy. Jared has really been enjoying holding him and letting him sleep on his chest. He is growing so fast. He is starting to fill out his skin. He looks so chubby to me today. We are all in love with our little guy. I personally can't believe the love a mom feels for her babies. I am so grateful for my babies!! I am so lucky to have one of each!

Tylee......is what we could say, ADJUSTING!!!! She is a great Big Sister! She always wants to help with Porter. Sometimes she likes to try to hold him, carry him, put her hand on his little head and say, oh he is so cutie. She calls him baby Quarter. Often times she pokes his eyes, ears, head, and tries to put her fingers in his mouth. We are very lucky he has survived thus far! She really is a good little girl and we are so lucky to have had 2.5 years with just her to love and spoil.

Jared..is trying to get by on less sleep than he had two weeks ago! The baby often wakes Tylee up when he cries. So she yells DADDYYYYY, DADDYYYYY, DADDYYYYY. Jared ends up sleeping in her room for awhile and then returns to our bed. I think he is really trying to have patience with Tylee, especially when she acts out for his attention. He is loving Porter and can hardly wait to teach him to throw a ball! It is so fun to watch him love our kids! He likes his job. He just laid sod in our back yard after putting in a sprinkling system. He has been working hard on the yard and has done a great job!

Jami.....Definetly adjusting!! Life with 2 kids is harder than I thought it would be but, I wouldn't trade it for the world. I love my kids with all my heart. I am trying to recover from a hard delivery. I have been battling a bladder infection and it is has been fun let me tell ya. I am hoping to feel like new soon. No one ever said child birth was supposed to be fun, right! I love having a little baby to cuddle and love on. I am usually battling with Tylee because she tries to play with Porter like he is her size. I am always wishing I was closer to my mom and sister so I could have their help. I don't think I have cleaned at all since my mom left last week, YUK! I am really just trying to enjoy this time because I will never have it again. I am learning lots of patience.

I am so grateful for my MOM!!! She is so great. She made it here to see Porter come to this world, not a minute too soon. She walked in just about 10 minutes before he arrived. I was so happy to see her face. There is just something so comforting about a mom. I love and appreciate mymom so much. She sayed with me for a few days and took care of all of us. She cooked, cleaned, changed diapers, laundry, and most of all made me laugh. She had to head out to care for her own mother and boy do we miss her!!! Tylee and i bawled when she left. Tylee cried I want my Grandma, I cried I want my mom! We finally got over it! It was so hard to see her go when emotions are so high! Thanks for all you do for me mom, I love you!!!

My DAD is awesome!! He was waiting outside the door for Porter to arrive. I was so happy to have him here to hold my little guy! He took great care of Tylee for us while we were in the hospital. Tylee loves him more than any of us. They have lots of fun togther. I was so sad to see him leave. Thanks for coming, DAd! I love you!

We are loving life with our two kids, even if it is an adjustment!!

HE CAME IN AT 5LBS 9OZ AND 20 INCHES.
HE IS THE BEST LITTLE BABY. WE ARE SO BLESSED TO HAVE HIM IN OUR FAMILY!! TYLEE IS IN LOVE WITH HIM AND HAS A NEW BEST FRIEND! I AM HEAD OVER HEALS IN LOVE WITH HIM. I THINK JARED LIKES HIM A LITTLE BIT TOO! I CAN'T EXPLAIN THE LOVE THAT I FEEL FOR MY NEW BABY. I AM SO GRATEFUL TO BE A MOM !! STAY TUNED FOR JARED TO POST SOME PICTURES FOR ME!!!

Fun Weekend!!

My family came down for the weekend!!! We had lots of fun, I always hate to see them go. Tylee was in heaven with her best friends here. Life is so much better when they are all around. Thanks for coming down mom, dad, and Nic! I really appreciate your help!!
I went to the doctor last week and I guess the baby is not growing like he should so they did an ultrasound and he looks okay!! Thank heavens. The next day I got a call from the Doc and they now want me to do stress tests on the baby every week until he gets here. I was a little concerned and upset so my awesome family came as soon as they could!! I am so blessed to be able to count on them. They are always there when I need them and I really appreciate that. They came and watched Tylee while I had my test on the baby. The baby seems to be okay, so we will see this week if he has grown and what our next step is. I know that he will be just fine, sometimes having babies can be a little scary!
So we got to go to the Zoo and see all of the fun animals. Ty can't stop talking about the elephants, they were sooo big!! I got to shopping with my mom and sister. We took the kids to the park, they wouldn't get off those dang swings! We had lots of fun hanging out together. Oh yeah, and thanks dad for helping me get new tires put on the car so I could get my car registered. I tried really hard to get them all to stay for another week but my Dad is the bishop so he had to get back to church! I can't wait until the baby is born so that I can travel home again!! Thanks for the fun weekend mom, dad, nic, and kids. Come again soon!! I love you guys!!!

Happy Fathers Day, DAD!!! I love you !! I am so lucky to have the dad that I have. I really appreciate all that you do for me and my little family. Tylee loves you so much. I am so grateful that she such a wonderful grandpa that loves her so much! I hope you know how important you are. I have been blessed beyond measure from your example and kind deeds. If only we had a few more dads like you, the world would be a perfect place. I love you, DAD!!!

Being Grateful

I know posting two days in a row, a big step for me! I just really feel so grateful today for all that I have and felt like I needed to share. My Grandpa was going in for surgery today to remove his kidney due to cancer but, plans were changed. I got a call from mom saying that the cancer has spread to his lung and possibly his thyroid. It is so crazy how life can be turned upside down all in one day. i hope and pray that everything will work out with this silly cancer. I guess I just needed to sit down and see how special life can be. I am very grateful for my little girl and baby boy on the way. I don't know what I would do without Tylee. I am blessed to have a great husband and wonderful parents who are always there for us. I am so lucky to have been able to live close to my sister, and best friend, for the past couple of years, it has been so great! Sometimes we need to see trials so that we can appreciate everday a little more. Thanks hevens I was able to mop the floor today. I hope that all of you realize your many blessings today and always try to be grateful for what and who you do have. I am grateful for a wonderful Grandpa that will pull through and do his best to get better for Grandma. I love you gramps!!!
